You are Nasir, the Champion of the Light, raised in the marsh village of Atland by the sage Mathias. Under his watchful eye and skilled training, you've developed into quite the young swordsman. Now, the hold of the evil has grasped Lakeland, and many strange things are happening as a result. There are reported sightings of unidentified entities, and the once clear flowing waters have turned brown and muddy. It's your duty to save your homeland from destruction.

Story:

You are the hero, raised in the light. You have the typical mission of saving the world, fighting evil and seeking justice. Although this plot is similar to many RPG, the story does a good job of keeping hooked to the game. .

Graphics :

The graphics are sharp, especially for a game that came out early in Super Nintendo History. All of the Super Nintendo's palette is used, creating some spectacular cut-scenes and life-like environment.

Music and Sounds:

Even if the music isn't very spectacular, I does the job. The only problem is that can tend to be repetitive, but that is a problem that has plagued many RPG.

Theme and Fun:

This game has a lot of concept that were latter use in other game. First, the jumping techniques were revolutionary, putting a third dimension in a normally flat two dimensional world. Second, the idea of combining the four elemental to create different kinds of magic. The only problem with this game is the sword. Since it's really small, hitting your foes can be a real challenge. All in all, a good game, but don't pay to much.
