Story:

You and your team were just exploring the sewer system under Waterdeep when somebody closed the gate behind your and crumbled the entrance, now trapped, you must explore the deep caverns under Waterdeep, discovering the hidden civilizations fighting underground. This may not seem like much, but it's a beginning for an epic trilogy. .

Graphics :

Again the graphic depend a lot on what kind of graphic adapter you have. The most surprising thing is this game still looks good with a EGA screen. But with an VGA display, this game looks good. It has and easy, crisp, icon interface than makes the game really fun to play.

Music and Sounds:

Whenever you player on a PC speaker or a cool Adlib card, the music is almost null. I say null in the sense of almost non-existent and not in the sense of awful. What few music you will find in this game is well orchestrated. Sounds are important, since a click of a tile or the grunt of a monster can be the difference between a dead team and a prepared team.

Theme and Fun:

This is a great RPG. It's too bad you can find it on the market today, because it's a must for any good PC RPG player. Since it's based on the popular Advanced Dungeon&Dragon license, experience Dungeon Master and veteran player alike will find this game easy to understand. It can also be used as a good teaching tool for beginners, as I did with a few of my friends.

Game ported to SNES:

I've never played the Nintendo version of this game but I've read a little about it. First, the graphic quality is supposed to have been reduced a little. Second, I've heard that playing this game without the SNES mouse is a chore. My tip is to stay with the PC version since you can't export you character to the sequel.
